Guanaja Update
On March 24 a group of 5 people went to the school in Guanaja Honduras for a few small projects. A local college donated their used computers to the school in Guanaja, so a group of us went to set up a network to share access to the internet via a sattelite that had previously been donated. New tables had to be built along with more power circuits and outlets under the tables to run the computers and monitors. Network cables and jacks were installed to each computer.
The school in Guanaja is expanding and building a chicken farm behind the school. This will provide the school with an educational opportunity to teach the students how to care for and raise poultry. The eggs and eventually chickens will be sold to provide a income to those students that work there to ofset their tuition.
We also built a ping pong table, installed a UHF Radio and antenna on the roof of the school; moved the book shelves and attached them to the wall.
School supplies such as markers, rulers, erasers, and many other items were donated and given to the school.
