Guanaja, The Island Challenge
The people of Guanaja have suffered greatly from Hurricane Mitch in 1998. Out of 180 homes on the island, only 8 remain after the storm. Construction on the island is very difficult as there are no vehicle’s on the island. The only transportation is by boat and transportation cost’s are very high.
