Greetings from Valley of the angels, where every day the weather is absolutely heavenly.

This morning the line to the medical clinic was the longest yet. Clear around the block people were lined up to get their turn. There is a little boy who has wisely brought his little ice cream business to the front road of the clinic. He has been selling frozen delights to the waiting crowd.

As I struggled to get through the crowd of people in front of the clinic door a little hand reached out and grabbed mine. I looked down and into the bright sweet face of a little girl who just wanted to say hello and touch me. It is memories like this that will stick with us forever and keep us charged up for the next time. Each person here has their own story to tell but all very similar. Our lives will never be the same and we continue to be blessed by serving.

Dr.Ky put a pair of rose colored glasses on a little girl who just let him numb her tooth with out screaming. The first child he has had all morning that didn’t scream just from the thought of siting in the chair. There are many children this morning and their teeth are so decayed. A woman who just finished having her teeth cleaned by Donna B. walks away saying thank you over and over again, she is just so grateful. The ADRA dentists are still with us and are doing such a great job. All of our doctors and dentist are so patient and kind, even under this less than perfect conditions. Lois M. was busy assisting the dentist this morning. The young girl with the severely deformed leg from the snakebite came in again this morning. Dr. Roy once again cut away the dead skin and tended the wound. It has done nicely since his last treatment with her and he thinks that with a skin graft and proper wound care on a regular basis that it would finally heal and stop festering. This poor young girl has been 8 years like this and you just can’t imagine how severe it is without seeing it.

After leaving the clinic we went to the construction sight. Angelo was busy welding beams for the ceiling as others were busy with putting stucco on the walls downstairs. This is a 2-story building. Nathaniel and Marcie were in charge of screening sand for the morning.

Next we stop was the school which is between the hospital and Dorca’s building. Rigo was in there working on setting up the 10 brand new computers that were donated by the Mission Conference. He has already wired boxes and put in plugs before starting the networking. Eric Y. will load up the software now and get them ready to go for the children. They had only 1 old dinosaur of a computer in there before. This will make a huge difference in the quality of education to the children now. There are 160 children in this school.

At the hospital there is a man that hangs around hopping to wash a car. This is his full time job and we see him in town also, trying to make a living. He carries his paint can full of water and some rags as he labors for his $1.50 a car. We are going to buy him a bucket to at least make his job a little easier. He does do an excellent job with that little paint can of water it is amazing.

Tonight our adult meeting topic was “the day after Jesus appears,” and there were 120 present. The local Pastor’s wife sang a beautiful Spanish rendition of Because He lives at the end of the meeting.

The children’s meeting had 75 in attendance

The medical team saw 516 patients, Dr., Bainaim had his record number today of any of our missions with seeing 269 patients himself!

The optical clinic passed out 121 pair of glasses.

The dental clinic does not have a count to report for yesterday or today, just “a lot”

There were 30 people who received dental cleaning today and 30yesterday

The construction team finished the2nd floor bond beam and is continuing with the stucco.

We do appreciate and feel your prayers and we thank you for the e-mails you have sent. It is so encouraging to us as even though we love what we are doing, we love and miss you at home. We are doing fairly well. When I first started this letter I was going to say there are only a few cases of strep throat going around but just in the last few hours I am hearing of several more. Of course there is along the usual stomach thing, but all in all we can still say we are fairing well as long as this strep situation gets halted quickly.

May the Lord keep you safe and walking in His steps and may you always hear that still small voice as He whispers words of love and woos you into His out stretched arms.

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me and I will make you to become fishers of men. And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed Him. Mark 17, 18

Smiling in Jesus,
